In the sunner of 1950, tle airfield south of Gleiwita (Q l/Y 37) was unoccupied. The destroyed hangars, and other installation had not been reconstructed. 2. In 1945 and 1946 the airfield was occupied by a few biplanes. Ex.ept f?,r an air display in 191+9, the field was unoccupied prior to the spring of 1951. After this date, some biplanes, which occasionally also towed :.1iderse The planes wore apparently flown by menbers of an aviation spor assoc ation1 No air force soldiers were seen in Gleiwits prior to July 1951. The airfield was provided with a spur track but had no surfaced runway or taxiways. Connnent. Postwar infori-tion on Gleiwitz airfield was transmitted once.
