Between 10:30 a,m. and 12:30 P.M. on 13 December 1952, Wiener Neustadt (0 48/
K 34) airfield was occupied by 36 Mi.Ce-15s
including 28 parked between the

edge of the woods near the pyrotechnic plant and 2 in line frith the rosd sign
on '.'adener Strasse, 11 twin4et planes, and 6 single-engine aircraft no dGteails
of which coi d .e identified, There was a 6/10 overcast at an altitude of
about 2,000 meters, a soutliwesterly wind at a speed of about 10 km/h, thawing
weather and clear visibility. Between 9 and 9:30 a,r:o, individual flights
were rade by MiG-15s whidi circled several tii es over the town. At 9:30 a.m.,
the two MiG-15s parked near the road sign on Badener Strasc?e were towed to the
flight control station ty trucks. The planes had a long cockpit and were
believed to be -trainers. At 10;45 a.m. the irobile flight control station
roved to the repair shop on the eastern edge of the field. After 9:30 a --m. t
no air activity was observed.
2? Three of the nine AA gun emplacements at the field were occupied by one AA gun
with a muzzle brake and without a gun shield, while the other six emplacements
were each occupied by an .A.4 gun with a flash hider. A dug-out was established
near each emplacement which had a telephone connection. The nine emplacements
were ,usarded by two sentries who wore red-bordered black epaulets. Eight
clusters of wire extended from the flight control building to the road sign on
Padener Strasse where three of their. branched off toward Matzendorf (C 48/X 35),
while the reraining five led to the AA gun erplacementso Of the three clusters
of wire which extend to Metzendorf three telephone liner 'r ranched off to the
antenna mast with a cone-shaped bracing north of the row of vih-1te searchlights
and three additional telephone lines branched off to the P'YV-45 DF station and
the antenna mast with a cone-shaped tracing northwest of T heresienfeld, From
the later radio installation, :four telephone lines extended to the telegraph
rests of the Austrian postal service. The forr-er radar station south of the
Wiener Neu,tadt-Bad Fischeu road was not co^.;ipied,.

th-- Field as on 13 December. ?Between 9 a.mo and 3 p.nma,individual flights were
made by 2"iG-15s- each circling about five ti,,. ,es over the town. Yhere was a 3/10
overcast at an altitude of about 2,000 meters, good visibility and a southwesterly
wind at ab.-1,,t 15 kzn/h. The aircraft took off and landed at htervals of 5 to
