Cambodia Situation Report
You will need to have a regular report on the situation and U.S. actions
in Cambodia. This will be particularly important after August 15 but
it would be advisable to get it started now as a means of identifying
shortfalls and problems. .
The attached memorandum requests a report three times each week
which will cover the essential elements of information in a way similar
to the reports we have had on our previous major actions in Southeast
Asia.
The existing post-ceasefire report ;concerning the implementation of the?
Paris Agreement would Continue.
Your staff will synthesize these reports into a report for you to provide
the President.
? RECOMMENDATION:
That you sign the ,attached memorandum which would initiate reporting
three times weekly effective August 6.,
