IN VIEW OF MY SCHEDULE I THINK IT IS INHUMAN TO ASK ME TO
GO THERE UPON MY RETURN. I AM SCHEDULED TO MEET WITH AND
GIVE A LUNCH FOR LUNS MONDAY AND I HAVE AN IMPORTANT MEETING
WITH OHIRA IN THE AFTERNOON. ALSO, I HAVE TO PREPARE FOR THE
TWO-DAY CENTO MEETING WHICH I CHAIR AND WHICH BEGINS TUESDAY
MORNING.
2. PLEASE EXPLAIN MY SCHEDULING PROBLEMS TO HAIG AND SEE IF
W. CAN'T RELIEVE THE PRESSURE TO GO TO FLORIDA.
3. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT GOT ZIEGLER SO UPSET (TOHAK 214,
PARAGRAPH 3). I PAID A PURELY PERSONAL CALL WITH NANCY ON THE
PRIME MINISTER TO PAY OUR CONDOLENCES. WHEN I CAME OUT OF
THE BRIEF MEETING, THAT IS ALL I SAID -- THAT MRS. KISSINGER AND I
HAD PAID A PERSONAL CALL, TO EXPRESS OUR SYMPATHY.

FROM: SECRETARY KISSINGER
1. Reference Haig's call about Key Biscayne (TOHAK 222),
in view of my schedule I think it is inhuman to ask me to
go there upon my return. I am scheduled to meet with and
give a lunch for Luns Monday and I have an important meeting
with Ohira in the afternoon. Also, I have to prepare for the
two-day CENTO meeting which I chair and which begins Tuesday
morning.
2. Please explain my scheduling problems to Haig and see if
we can't relieve the pressure to go to Florida.
3. I don't understand what #t7-Ziegler so upset (TOHAK 214,
paragraph 3). I paid a purely personal call with Nancy ?,on the
Prime Minister to pay our condolences. When I came out of
the brief meeting, that is all I said -- that Mrs. Kissinger and I
had paid a personal calf
