1, 26 Infantry Regiment at Shkoder and 31 Infantry Regiment at Kukes belong to
the Independent Infantry Brigade of Shkoder. Commander of the Independent
Brigade is Thomas Cico, from Kukes,e who was trained in the Soviet Union,
2, 26 Regiment has three infantry battalions, a communications platoon of 26
to 28 men,, and a mechanized platoon. Each battalion has a rifle company,
a machine gun company, a mortar company, and an administrative group,
3. The rifle companies are composed of four platoons each, with a total
strength of 120 men. The platoons are divided into four 7 -man groups;
each group has one 7,62 num. Soviet machine gun. Each rifle p y to
equipped with 16 machine guns, 97 rifles, and seven revolvers,

training platoon has 25 men divided into two groups. Each of the other
three platoons has 23 men divided into three groups. Each platoon is
armed with 21 rifles and one revolver.
b, 2 Company this company has 95 men from 35 to 55 years old from
northern Albania; the men served only two months.

7. At the end of April 1951s the 2 Infantry Regiment of 5 Division moved to
an area south of the village of Erin! (M.485--098). 3 Battalion of 2
Regiment-remained at GGinokaster0
6. The artillery regiment of 5 Division moved to the area of Lckel. The
staff of the regiment remained in Qjinokaster.
On 25 April 1951, the brigade of Vione moved to Shkoder. The units of
the brigade encamped at Shkoder included an artillery regiment, a train-
ing battalion for non Qc Ession d officers, a coarumioations battalion,
and a mechanized wmpwW.
