The anpe:iaut i.s undated. It was issued during the latter half of August 1951. The greater part of each issue is, as usual, taken up by the publication of official decrees and announcements by the Directorate General and the various directorates of the Reichsbahn. These announcements are subheaded as follows: operations, passenger traffic, freight traffic, railroad repair yards, construction, safety and communications, material procurement, finance and economy, labor and wages, law and administration, social benefits, tank car operations, personnel, and miscellaneous. The following items are of particular interest: New job evaluations for personnel of automobile maintenance plants and of track engineering groups within~Reichsbahn divisions. Regulations granting higher tax exemptions to certain executives, entertainers, and handicapped workers, Discontinuance of shoe rental service which enabled workers owning only one pair of shoes to rent another pair while theires was being repaired. Decreasing need for such service is given as the reason for discontinuing it, Encouragement of worker correspondents to continue contributions to the newspapers on technical, political, or economic subjects, based on their experience in the shops, Expansion,of training of skilled railroad workers. List of 21 technical improvements developed, or in process of development, at the Central Equipment Designing Office during July 1951. Table of various types of compensation paid to Reichsbahn workers, showing tax and social e~ ^a security obligations for such payments.
