This will be a tour d`horizon. As Dinitz said, it will be an "Ebanese"
conversation, which means you won't need many talking points. Possible
topics are:
1. Eban's tour of Latin America.
2. UN Security Council matters:
-- the resolution Wednesday condemning the Israeli hijacking,
the U. S. veto July 26th of the resolution attempting to modify 242.
3. Brezhnev and Shah visits.
4. Soviet Jews/MFN.
5. Energy.

6. Jordan. [FYI: Two matters were raised by Dinitz which probably
should not come up with Eban, but you should know where they stand:]
- - You told Dinitz you would make sure Rifai knew our thinking on
his rapprochement with Egypt.
-- FYI: We are still awaiting word on the Soviet bid to build a
prefabricated housing factory in Jordan. CIA is unfamiliar with
it and is checking.
. North Korean pilots in Egypt:
- The State Department Wednesday confirmed the press reports.
You mentioned to Dinitz that you would raise this in Chin
