SUBJECT:
South Vietnam Army Personnel Transfer
Ammunition to Viet Cong Unit in Cambodia
According to a CIA report sent you by Mr. Helms (Tab A), a group
of South Vietnamese Army personnel on July 7 transferred Z5 cases
of ammunition to a Viet Cong unit in Cambodia. The same ARVN
group reportedly has given ammunition to the VC on other occasions.
Mr. Helms comments in his note to you that General Abrams plans
to discuss this- report with JCS Chairman General Cao Van Vien to
arrange corrective action.
