2. Realize you are probably well aware of this but wanted to remind
that pilot is under instructions to return to Orly at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and
fully refuel for return to Washington.
3. Senate approved your nomination this morning. Congratulations
from all here. Admiral McCain's retirement also approved. General
Abrams nomination was not considered today though it also was on the
in week
calendar. Mansfield says it will be debated later/after Committee report
on Lavelle case is available. Senate sources say that this will be occasion
for debate on Lavelle case.
