SUPPLEMENT TO
The Chinese Communist Government has just released US 70,000,000 to its
purchasing agents for buying ammunitions The funds are chiefly in Switzer-
land but some are dollar holdings in Hong Kong, Tientsin, and Macao banks.
2. Chinese Communist buyers want .45 caliber ammunition, as well as ammunition
for carbines, rifles, machine guns, baazookas, and anti-aircraft guns of
various caliberso Prices vary mainly according to speed of delivery.
Contracts usually call, for delivery in the safe navigable waters off Macao
and Vhampoa.
3. During the second week in .Tay the Chinese Communists Purchased 10,000 cases
of *45 caliber ammunition from a seller now in Hong Kong..
