After the conclusion of the Congress,
the delegates to the Congress, both
those from Poland and foreign countries;,
left Warsaw for larger oenters in the
country where they addressed mass meet-
ings. At those meetings resolutions
were accepted "expressing the undaunted
will of the working masses to fight for
peace."

USA refused visas to Japanese youth who
intended to attend the Congress.
Hungarian Government refused to issue
entrance visas to delegates of Yugoslav
youth.
The Congress elected a new Council of the
WFDY totalling 177 representatives of
WWTDY organizations. Following repre-
sentatives of Soviet youth were elected
to the Councilof the WFDY: L Mikhailov,
A. Shelepin, V. Kochemassov, Z. Fedorova,
M. Peslyak, V. Semichastni, P. Masherov,
S. Romanov, A. Ageenkova, V. gruminsh,
Z. Tumanova, V. Gavrilov, and S. Salya-

Czechoslovakian government refused to
allow a Yugoslav delegate to attend the
meeting.
Four new members, Albania, Communist
China, "Free" Greece and the Soviet Zone
of occupied Germany were voted into the
organization.
The session was presided over by Soviet
writer, Pavel Yudin of Pravda.
The British National Union of Journalists,
withdrew from the organization in
Sept 49. They were followed shortly
afterwards by the Belgians. Meanwhile
the executive committee of the I.O.J. had
decided on its own account to expel the
American member unions for "subversive
activities."

nitted for the approval of their
resW ctive executive bodies.
It was decided at the Congress to
maintain closer relations with Pales-
tinian Arab Communists.
The Congress elected the Central Com-
mittee of the Party consisting of 15
members and 10 candidates and also the
Central Control Commission.
Mikunis was elected Secretary General.

The conference adopted the following
agenda: 1. A report on the activi-
ties of the World Federation of Trade
Unions and tasks of the Trade Union
Conference of Asian and Australasian
countries.
2. Reports on the trade union
movements in the Asian countries.
3. Setting up of a trade
unions) liaison bureau of the World
Federation of Trade Unions for Asian and
Australian countries.
Following countries were accepted into
11FTU membership: Viet Nam, Philippines,
Japan, Mongolian Peoplets Republic,
Korean People's Democratic Republic,
Trade Unions of South Korea.
Resolutions adopted at the conference
were as follows:
1. To set up a Liaison Bureau
for Asia with headquarters in China and
temporarily in Peking in conformity with
an agreement arrived at with the All-
China Federation of Labor.
2. To fix the number of the
members of the Liaison Bureau for Asia
at four, namely; a representative from
the All-China Federation of Labor,
