DESCRIFFORS: *Semiconductors, Germanium,
Silicon, Tellurium, $Crystal structure, Pressure,
Resistance.
After an elementary survey of sonic characteristic
properties, we summarize the principle work of
various authors on the influence of pressure on
intrinsic resistivity of different semiconductors.
This effect is primarily indicated by a variation in
the value Eg Of the forbidden band with pressure. We
then give a sketch of two other methods of determin-
