(S/D) SIGNIFICANCE: A RAILROAD BRIDGE ON THE BEIRUT TO DAMASCUS RAIL LINE WAS DESTROYED DURING THE RECENT CRISIS. 2. (S/D) REMARKS: A THREE-SPAN, DECK, SINGLE-TRACK RAILROAD BRIDGE IN THE BAYDAR PASS WAS DESTROYED THIS RAILROAD BRIDGE IS 7 NM WEST OF ZALAH AND 3 NM SOUTHEAST OF HAMMANA. A SMALL PORTION OF ONE OF THE TWO MASONRY PIER SUPPORTS IS ALL THAT REMAINS. THE HIGHWAY BRIDGE IMMEDIATELY NORTH OF THE RAILROAD BRIDGE, RE EEN TEMPORARILY REPAIRED. 3.
