TRIAD FACILITY
SURFACE TO AIR MISSILE SITE E-33-1

This report is the result of a study conducted to compare the triad
of buildings at SAM site E-33-1 (Figure 1) as seen on ground photographs
of April 1965 (Figure 2) and large scale KEYHOLE photography (Figure 3).

As a result of using the assumed scales mentioned above, measurements
obtained from the two camera sources are almost identical. throughout. All
measur-ements obtained from the ground photos are graphically portrayed on
the enclosed line drawings (Figures 4 and 5).
Construction progress consisted of
the placement of a section of the large dome atop the two other visible
sections. This indicates that the dome is constructed in individual sections
at ground level and then assembled atop the triad buildings byuse of con-
struction cranes. These individual sections are annotated as sections A, B,
and C on Figure 4and-sections A and B on Figure 5.
Section B (Figure 5) of the domed structure atop the smaller building
was in place but was not visible It appeared
to be a temporary environmental-covering when seen in January.
The types of construction materials used cannot be determined specifically.
