1. Attached are summaries of the obligations, commitments,
and expenditures in FAN 81-2000, New Headquarters Building
(NHB) Construction for March 1989 (Attachment A). During March
25X1 we transferred expenses of $210 from FY 84 to FY 85.

2. For FY 85, we recorded the following expenditures:
$35,161.38 for Route 123 improvements; $992.75 for supplies;
$7,500 for fire alarms; $35,000 for the cafeteria expansion;
t22,061.10 for carpet installation; $16,149 for redesign costs;
1,176 for modification of partitions; $278,793 for the West
Parking Lot; $5,365.92 for the PASS project; $7,200 to revise
high voltage cable connections; $28,775 for renovations on the
4th floor; $410 for renovations to the space occupied by the
Office of Information Technology; $192,600 for renovations to
the ground, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors; $60,302 for automatic door
openers in the South Dock area; $93,600 for renovations for
Africa Division; $6,361 to perform water tests on the southside
chilled water line; $6,994.02 for tree plantings; $32,696.89
for programming of the Building Management System; $13,580.47
to paint hallways; $2,140 for office renovations in the South
Tower; $6,631.66 for mail distribution cabinets; $6,657.28 for

March 1989
renovations to the South Loading Dock; $5,436.07 for galvanized
sheet metal plates; $9,541 for installation of partition walls;
and $2,161.10 for planter boxes. The following obligations
were recorded in March: $5,000 for the installation of door
releases; $21,367 for replacement of the chilled water line;
$4,648 for partition wall insulation; $19,459 for repiping of
the waste backup system; $5,000, $6,000, and $10,000 for office
renovations; and $4,349.23 for freight/storage charges. The
following commitments were recorded in March: $2,504
representing final amount due for A & E for the cafeteria;
$5,000 for modifications to boilers; $3,335 to install door
seals; $12,688 to wire and install fire alarms in the
elevators; $24,931 to insulate partition walls; $21,742 to
purchase and install coat hooks; $12,871 to replace conduit and
cable loops; and $4 million for the construction of a Solid
Waste Disposal System.
