Tour, 4 - 6 August, 1987
1. The National Warning Staff, under sponsorship of the Washington Area
Operations-intelligence Center Chiefs' Conference (WAOCC), conducts quarterly
tours of the Washington area watch centers for community analysts and
managers. This is an excellent opportunity for participants to broaden their
understanding of the centers' operations and interrelationships. Our next
tour is scheduled for 4 - 6 August 1987.
2. Your organization Is invited to send participants on the tour. As a
guideline, I'd like to apportion tour slots as follows: CIA, DIA, and NSA, 3
slots each; State Operations, State INR, Treasury, Justice, FBIS, COCS, Army,
Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, White House Situation Roam and White House
Situation Support Staff, 1 slot each. Additionally, please appoint as many
alternates as you desire. I will attempt to accomodate alternates whenever
possible.
3. Request you identify your participants and telephone their names to Major
National Warning Staff, as soon as possible.
Additionally, please pass your Participants' clearances by message per
Instructions listed beim _not later than 28 July 1987.
a. Send clearances to: SSO DIA, NSA CSS, State RCI,
CIA/C1B, Treasury, Justice, White House.
b. Your message must contain the following

participants name, grade, social security nuMber,
date and place of birth, parent agency, Sl/TK
clearance (and G clearance If authorized), and
purpose and date of visit Washington Area Watch
Centers Tour, 4 - 6 August 1987).
4. Attached Is a complete tour itinerary. Each stop has been coordinated with
the appropriate center. Please note and confirm the date and time the tour
will visit your center. Please provide your participants with a copy of the
Itinerary.
