1.
a "Rational Army" is to be formed in tne East Lone as soon, as
the agreement between powers is
ratified. It will be "based on the Volitspolizei and the Free German
Youth (FD), the latter filling up the VP formations intq
divisions.
2. It is possibly in connection with this that on 10 May considerable
shipments of weapons were made from the depot at FUrstenwalde to the
various caare stations of the Volkspolizei. Each_shipment consisted
of 10 anti-aircraft gozns? 8 to 3.2 heavy mortars and twelve 76.2 nun
guns.
3. During the early part of May 1952, 450 add-tank guns from Poland arrived
aM were distributed to the cadre stations.
