Miss Eldridge in Congressman Trask Thompson', office
(D. N. J.) called So ask that a set of application forms be seat
the Congressmaa's office for a constituent of the Congressman
who is interested in a pesition with the Agency. This was done.
Personnel Office, galled to say that
who was referred to the Agency by Senator McClellan
and Rapressotative Italleck was betas tavitad to come to Washiagton
from at Crovernment expense to be interviewed regarding
the JOT program. There was so recruiter available in kis vieinity.
This Office will be notified of the results of the interview.
Captaia Mott sad Colonel Greco, representiag General
Twining, came over sad reviewed the traaseript of the CIA testimony
before the Mingo* Subcommittee. They ladicated that they were
preparing General Twining's statement for his appearance and that
their primary concern was that certain figures whisk they were going
to include in their *Weakest should ceaforat to the figures used by
the DCL
Mr. Bryce Marlow of the White noose (Governor Adams' eines)
met with the Director sad west over most of the transcript of the
Johnson Subcommittee hearings where CIA testified. He was looking
for items that might be stilted on as political issues. He has not
completed his review and will call again.
The Director requested that there be prepared a full statement
of his previous appearances before Coagressional committees on the
missile Imstiss. It. also requested that there be pulled together
whatever reports or material we had es missiles mass' with
refereaes
These matters were discussed with Mr. Amery
who stated that Mr. Stouts had started on the statemeat of Congressional
appearaaces and mild wry on with this. Chi the earlier material ea
missiles, Mr. Amory stated be would request Colonel Joke White to
begin work ea this. Later I talked to Steens end he will prepare the
Congressional items.
