Dear Mr. Brady:
This confirms the telephone conversation
of my Staff had with Mr. Duane Kidd at your ottice
on 20 December 1977, and is in reply to yeur letter of 16
December 1977 which forwarded a NRC document of 27 April
1977 for CIA review. ?
The Agency has no objection to the release of the NRC
document to Congressman Udall's Staff.
We would like to call your attention to-page 1 of the
document, paragraph 2 of M. Eagle's statement. He mentions
that the Commission and senior NRC officials were briefed by
the CIA on February 23 and 25, 1976. Our own records of
this briefing are incomplete and indicate only that Mr.
Duckett briefed the NRC during 1976. If the Commission has
on file any memorandum for the record concerning that
briefing, we would appreciate a copy to complete our re-
cords.
