1 . Wiener Neustadt (G 48JX 3IG)n On 27 and 30 September 1952, aircraft parked at
Wiener A-eustadt airfield in front of the flight control building and east of it
along the road to Baden, included 15 N G-~15 and 9 or 10 aircraft, probably
IL,28s,, The depression in front of the pyrotechnic plant could not be ob-
served, Between 2 and 6 p,,m? on 27 September, flying was rracticed by MG-15s
during a 7/10 overcast0 On 30 September, the airfield was observed between &
and 6 porn, There was a 5/10 overcast, and no flying. Prom local residents it
was learned, however, that flying: by jet and conventional. aircraft, had been
practiced before 3 .m, On 6 and 9 October between I. and u pein,,, only one

loaded with ration boxes., driver wearing black-bordered blue

were parked in front of former Konradkaserne,
84 Deutsch Mat=ram (P k9,/S 5O), The airfield was not occupied. Thirty two
;p linter proof revetments were apparently completed. They were of the same
ty ,e as the ones at Wiener Neustadt and Voe:sinu airfields, J. temporary
wooden building near the aircraft repair shop in Deutsch .:a,ram was occupied,
The motor vehicle park was apparently vacant., and only individual Russians
were seen in town,
9o The camp at the edge of the wood at 5trasahof appeared to be unoccupied,
Guards wearing black-bordered blue epaulets were posted there,, The largest
building in the camp had broken windows., and the fence was damaged. Truck

F -63A s,, There was 3/10 overcast at a cloud base of 29500 meters. No flying
was observed,

the temporary buildings of the flight control station., Truck

building. Twenty-six trucks., 8 van-like trucks and 6 tank trucks were

12P Margarethen/Moos was observed between I. and 2 p.m. on 9 Octobero
Four AA guns with a caliber of about 80 mm and with mua^le brakes,,
four AA guns with flash hiders and 12 motor vehicles were observed
in the yard. About 80 men were engaged in athletics; some of them wore
uniforms with red-bordered black epaulets,,
11, Bad Voeslau (0 48/x 36),z Between 8:30 and 11 aim? on 7 Octoberv 18 Pe-2s
and 1 Li-2 were seen at Bad Voeslau airfield, There was no flying at 11/l0
overcast and a visibility of about 10 km, The two lines of five splinterproof
revetments along the road to Wiener Neustadt were completed., Five additional
ones were under construction at the southwestern border of the field?? The
revetments were of the same type as the ones seen at Wiener Ieustadt,. The
radio installations were unchanged.,

Comment, Except for a landing with II-28 typo aircraft,, no flying
ac vittiy has been rerorted since the arrival of the IL 28s., It has not
yet been determined whether these IL 28s were to replace conventional
aircraft of the bomber or reconnaissance unit of the Fifty-ninth t.ir Fumy
or whether they were for retrainiriF, purposes,

observed9 were also reported from Last Germany,, It can be assumed
that the fighter aircraft of the Fifty-,ninth Air Army are also being
equipped with these tanks which have a capacity of about 70 gallons,

Comment, It is assumed, that the two fighter regiment: which during
e past months9 were stationed in Aspern and Parndorf are to return to
