Professor John Compton, Chairman of the Quality Control Program in
Photographic Processing and Materials of the Rochester Institute of Technology
(RIT), has invited you to attend a banquet and program in honor of the
thirty-second class to graduate in the study of military photography at RIT.
You are also invited to tour the facilities of the largest photographic school
in the world.
Since you will be leaving that week for California to attend the ABA
meeting and speak at the Institute of Judicial Administration breakfast, I
recommend that you decline this invitation. If you agree, please sign the
attached letter of regret.

The completion of this summer's program marks the 32nd United States Navy
- Canadian Forces program for Quality Control in Photographic.Processing and
Materials at RIT. We would like you to be our guest at the final banquet of
the program on Thursday, August 6, at the Scotch 'N' Sirloin in the Todd Mart
Plaza here in Rochester. Cash bar will open at 6:00; we will sit for dinner
at 7:00. The class will be in uniform; our guests will dress either likewise
or semi-formally.
On the following morning (August 7) the class presentation of the course
summary laboratory project and the graduation exercise will take place in
Seminar Room B (#2241) at the College of Graphic Arts and Photography
(Building 7B) on the RIT campus, beginning at 10:00 AM. If you can attend we
would welcome the opportunity to show you our facilities, which house the
largest photographic school in the world; to discuss topics of photography
with you; and for you to spend some time with us. ,
It is a pleasure to teach this course and to be involved.in this and
other ways with military photography. Please let us know if you will be able
to come, and of any assistance to our visit we may provide. I may be reached
