I talked to several SSCI staffers today about the hearing
and once again detected no hint of opposition.
Gary Chase gave me the attached. Gary is also preparing a
list of questions based on submissions from the entire staff and
will provide me a copy of same. Very few questions are coming
in. but he expects some on on the
action as a policy tool.
and on your view of covert
He invited me to contribute some "softball questions, but I
declined--it wouldn't do to have members find out that you are
asking yourself questions.
