1. Reference request to adapt to Air Force use the TCC-promulgated
booklet, "Processing Intelligence Information on Personal Computer Systems: A
User's Guide," has been favorably reviewed by the Chairman, Technical
Countermeasures Committee, Interagency Group for Countermeasures (Technical).
2. AFCSMO is therefore authorized to adapt the subject booklet as
indicated in the copy submitted by your letter of 10 November.

SUBJECT: Request to Adapt Computer Security Booklet DCI/ICS-86-0944
to an Air Force Pamphlet
1. The attached request from the Air Force Communications-Computer
Security Management Office (AFCSMO) to adapt to Air Force use the
TCC-promulgated booklet, "Processing Intelligence Information on Personal
Computer Systems: A User's Guide," was recently received by CCISCMO/ICS. The
mark-up of the attached copy of the booklet, indicating areas which AFCSMO
proposes to modify, is forwarded to you as received.
2. Considering the modest extent of the modifications proposed and the
salutary objective, I recommend that unconditional approval be granted to
AFCSMO to proceed.
