forwarded to the members on 13 June. In addition to addressing the China
Follow-up Report, the committee will be provided status reports on:
- NFIP Sunoort to Continaency Operations.
- Intelligence Support to SDI.
- Force Multiplier.

projects. Last week, a new study outline, which focused on key issues and
related problem areas, and a request for inputs were handed out to the

? The working group's Chairman has forwarded a memorandum to the Chairman,
CIPC via the VC/CIPC and ES/CIPC that provides the reasons the working
group will need another month to complete its study.
? For most of this week Paul will be on TOY taking part in an exercise. He
will return to duty on 23 June.
25X1 Intelligence Support to SDI -
? The next SDI Working Group meeting is scheduled for 24 June. George
25X1 has provided Rich a summary, in outline form, of the Community
responses to the D/ICS request of 18 April.
? This outline will provide Carlos enough information to be able to complete
the tasking of the working group members for additional inputs by next
working group meeting. Rich's impression is that, because of the lateness
and lack of quality of these inputs, our data-gathering phase cannot be
completed until late July.

25X1 ? Rich has had useful discussions with who is keeping us
informed of STAP involvement with SD, and with who will be
following our efforts insofar as they are of interest to the IP&nc. Rich
is also in the process of making contact with SAFSS to invite them to
25X1 provide an input to our study.

25X1 Force Multiplier -
? The Force Multiplier Working Group met on 10 June and received two
briefings, one on the NFIP and the other on the multiplier concept. In
addition the working group continued its discussions of the TOR and
25X1 methodology. Tony also met separately with the CIA member,
to discuss CIA's potential contributions.

? Programming of the basic models is essentially complete. Testing, and
de-bugging are under way. Arrangements for accessing the existing FIRF
data base are also complete and these data will be available to us shortly.

? We are now entering a period where we will start generating various
reports and assessing their utility for senior management. We are getting
close to the point where we will be able to determine the overall value of
CSEM, and where we go from here.
