Training courses for all military units of Eastern Yugoslavia
are given at this Center. These courses averagq, 4 months
in length and are attended by approximately 200 officer-
noncommissioned-officer-students. Training includes
struction on a new AA gun produced in-:Yugoslavia and
with radar, as well as on AA missiles of Russian origin

This work is being carried out by landing ihfantry and arm
troops ..,at.SliVno, Krstatice, Gornji Rascani (two separate
locations), Zagvozd (two large cisterns)) Zupa and Biokovsko
Selo. The work is scheduled to be completed by winter 1964.
4. Radar ipstallations on Mount Kopar-(near,Pula)

The radar station on Mount Kopar, about 16 km from the center of
Pula and 4 km from the village of Premantura, comprises 8 radars
of whicp 3:are American and_5.mobile, mounted on tru4s.Wept in
garages on the base. The three American radars are in operation
24 hour ?a day; the others have only been observed in operation
during maneuvers. Two antenpas.,which are connected with the
radars0;tion by an underground. cable.are.located on
south of the tourist village Postinje, 5-6 km south. ofPula.
The radar _station is under Lt. 'Col'. VeljkO,SarePovic.and-has,a
complement of about 20 officers, 30 noncoms, and 60-men. The
entire compound is enclosed-A4th.barbed wire and guarded by four
guard pOS;ts.
