The Real Estate Property Office of the Soviet Trade Delegation (Immobilienabteilung der Handelsvertretung der USSR in Deutschland), commonly referred to as "Immobilien-Handel", is located at Berlin C2, Weydingerstrasse 24, Telephone No. 42-97.-07. The director of this office is Kasimovskiy .1 The Immobilienabteilung controls all real estate holdings throughout BergE-717=M-75=-Teffie of Germany which are under Soviet control or used by the Soviets for billeting and/or office purposes. Branch offices of the Immobilienabteilung exist in Dresden and Leipzig, exact addresses mit known* 2. Inside the Karlshorst Compound in Berlin, the following properties fall under the control of the Immobilienabteilung: Koenigswinterstrasse 12 through 14a and connecting buildings at Ingelheimer-Strasse 19 la, 222a, 3. These properties are PCS billets used by Soviet officers and civilians with families. Koenigswinterstrasse 26 A, B, C, D, and 27 - PCS billets for officers and civilians. The comple of buildings fronting on Koenigswinterstrasse 23, 24, 25;Andernacher-Strasse glir 5a, 5b, 6;and Rheingoldstrasse 14. Hotel for Soviet transient billeting. Rheingoldstrasse 309 31 (directly across ?the street) - Annex to transient hotel. Rheingoldstrasse 21 and 22 - Hotel "15". Loreleystrasse 339 349 35, 36 - Polyclinic of the Soviet Trade Delegation, formerly a part of USIG. Rheingoldstrasse 14A, 159 16, 17,18 - private villas, vacant as 50X1-HUM of April 1954, but being redecorated. The M;;IG polyclinic, which now serves the Soviet Tradie Delegation, 5/Ylu,inally was moved from Askania Haus to Drachenfelsstrasse 11 and IIA some time during the summer of 1953. However, in the spring of 1954, as a result of a boiler failure in the heating plant for these building, the polyclinic was moved to Loreleystrasse 33, 34, 35 and , 36, where it occupies the entire group of buildings. A portion of the basement of Drachenfelsstrasse 11 and 11A was turned into a furniture storage area, under the jurisdiction of the branch office of the Immo.. bilienabteilung (the former USIG billeting section), run by Waldemar Winterfeld. Although vacated in the spring of 1954, these buildings still fall under the jurisdiction of the Immobilienabteilung, and as far as is known, the basement facilities are still-11En by Winterfe1d0 130 With the exception of a small number of Germans employed in the poly- clinic, the staff of about 20 or 25 people is mainly made up of Soviet nationals, both physicians and nurses. It serves only Soviet nationals except in cases of accidental injury to German employees, when first aid is given. 50X1-HUM c. The USIG Billeting vffice and Household Furnisbings Office run by Waldemar Winterfeld at Koenigswinterstrasse 14 still survives in the same location as when under the USIG TAD The furniture storage facil- ities available to this office in Askania Haus as of April 1954 were located in the basements of Drachenfelsstrasse 11 and 11A, and to some extent in the basements of the buildings at Koenigswinterstrasse 12- 14. Additional furniture storage facilities were located in the base- ments of the apartment houses at Ingelheimer Strasse 1, 1A, 2, 2A and 30 4. The main office of the Imp:11112&allAl.uz_at Weydingerstrasse 24 was greatly expanded as of January 1954, at which time many of the officials of USIG were transferred to this location. The number s:3f such officials transferred or whether such Soviet officials were transferred to the T/0 of the Immobilienabteiluaa?was not known, but many Soviet officials for- merly seen in the V,aldowalloo offices in Karlshorst were seen entering and leaving the Leydingerstrasse premises in the spring of 1954. The main office now occupies the entire block of buildings along Weydingerstrasse, including houses 20, 22, and 24, and may possibly also occupy the buildings at Weydingerstrasse 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10. Included in these buildings are both offices and billet facilities. The jmiolrrpz.taiklnz_ supplied fuel to the property at 2 and 4 Weydingerstrasse, in which the Babylon theater is located, and this supcly would only be authorized if the Properties themselves came under Immebilienabteilung_control.
