NSC Action No. 123 B. Memo for NSC from Executive Secretary, subject: "NSC Progress Reports", dated May 11, 1954? C. NSC Action No. 2045-- The President on July 27, 1959, approved the following directive on the subject to supersede NSC Action No. 2045: a. The coordinating agency designated by the President for each approved national security policy should continue to re-appraise the validity and evaluate the implementation of the policy in the light of operating experiences as required by developments or periodically normally at six-month intervals. b. Progress reports on each approved policy should be transmitted to the National Security Council by the coordinating agency when the coordinating agency wishes to recommend a review of the policy or considers that there have been developments of such significance as to warrant a progress report to the National Security Council.
