1. revolt against the Labor Cooperative Fa= (L3F) policy of the Bulgarian
overnment recently took place in the Pes:atera area, southwest of Plovdiv,:
rhe peasants of three villages in the district demanded to withdraw fran
the LCF,, When this demand was not considered/ they tookmatters in their
:ein hands, removed all the livestock and agricultural implements they had
:ontributed to the LCF and barricaded theme/vas in their villages.
After three days a truce MUS arranged with the local authorities. In the
.reantimes, the area was encircled by the Miliee,
similar disturbances in the Asenovgrad area south
f Plovdiv, and in the Pleeen district. The trouble in these areas also
-,tarted from the dissatisfaction of the peasants with their lot in the
.CF as compared with their previous positon as private farmers. The
:aasants took the seed and livestock from the local IF when they were not
? flowed to return to private farming. Tko Chernokolev, the Minister of
qrxiculture, paid a personal visit to the village of Gorni Dubnik in the
eleven district.
