ROOSEVELT ROOM, THE WHITE HOUSE
I. Introductory Remarks
II. Latin America Trip
Between April 6-16, the Chairman led a high-level United
States delegation to several drug production and transit
countries in Latin America. The Board will be briefed on
delegation findings and recommendations.
III. Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988
On March 23, 1988 the "Omnibus Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1988"
was introduced in the Senate (DeConcini/52205) and House
(English/4230), respectively. The Board will discuss the
merits of this legislation.
IV. Federal Role in Treatment
Dr. Macdonald will discuss the role of the Federal
government in drug treatment.
V. Presidential Briefing
The Board is tentatively scheduled to brief the President on
Lead Agency Committee strategies on April 28. The agenda
and logistics of this briefing will be discussed.
VI. New Business
