MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Luncheon with David Wise and Tom Lambert
1. On 28 April 1964, a luncheon was held for David Wise,
Bureau Chief of the NYHT and Tom Lambert, diplomatic correspondent
of the NYHT. The host at the luncheon was the DCI, and also in
attendance was Mr. Paul M. Chrftien. Mr. McCone was asked his
views on Vietnam. He reviewed the Cuban missile crisis in 1962,
gave his views on CIA/DIA relationships ("basically good) and answered
other questions as they were raised.
2. After the luncheon, b(Miguests thanked Mr. Chretien for the
invitation and remarked that heA'Sad been very helpful to them.
