SUBJECT: Travel Request
1. Approval is requested to attend a conference on Soviet-Latin America
relations, Princeton University, Center of International Studies, January 31-
February 1, 1986. I have been invited to participate in a panel discussion of
Soviet policy in Central America. This panel, as the whole conference,
consists of leading ac ademic analysts of Soviet policies in Latin America.
2. None of my remarks will be classified, and a future paper, to become
a chapter in a book associated with this conference, will be submitted for
clearance.
