SUBJECT: Nomination to Attend A Senior Officer School
1. The CIA Training Selection Board met recently to discuss nominations
to attend Senior Officer Schools during the 1988/89 academic year. As you
know, selection of candidates for these schools is very competitive, and
although you were not selected, it should not be considered a reflection on
your outstanding Agency record.
2. In fact, the Board thought that it would be appropriate to ask all the
Senior Officer School nominees if they would be interested in a rotational
assignment to OTE. I would appreciate it if you would consider the idea of
joining the OTE teaching staff for a few months to a year so that OTE and its
students could benefit from your experiences as a successful manager. I would
be glad to talk with you about the possibilities that exist. Please feel free
