a. -opia has never had a census. Estimates of pop-
ulation range from 15,000,000 to 25,000,000-
b. 95% of the population of Ethiopia is unemployed at
any one time. "de are waiting for the future" was
the way one educated Eth*opian (Chief Clerk of the
Village School at Fiche, located 80 miles frcn Addis)
expressed it.
c. There are about 350 Swedish nationals in Ethic
