1. As of late summer 1954, Jet fighters with very sharply swept-back wings and
larger propeller-driven aircraft were based on an airrfield located on the
southeastern edge of Baranovichi (N 53-0d, E 26-02). in the area of the
airfield, officers and enlisted men in Air Force uniforms. 50X1-HUM
2. A kaz.erne composed or barracks type of buildii is located on Sovkhoznaya
u1.i.*.ba in Baranovichi. This kaserne is occupied by a military unit (size
not specified), whose ofricers and enlisted men wear uniforms denoting that
they belong to the artillery branch of service.
3. A small building on Sovetskaya ulitsa is occupied by uniformed women who are members
or the communications service (Signal Troops).
