SUBJECT: Conversation with HPSCI Staff Member Diane Dornan
1. On 17 November 1989 I talked with Diane Dornan, HPSCI
staff member, concerning an article she is writing at the
request of Rep. Harry Hyde. Ms. Dornan explained that
Rep. Hyde wished to react to a recent article in the
Congressional Quarterly concerning the New Moscow Embassy
Buildin . Ms. Dornan had

2. Ms. Dornan was not certain that her article would be
published. If Rep. Hyde does decide to publish the article,
she felt it most likely it would be published in the Washington
Post, the Wall Street Journal, or the National Review.
3. The contact with Ms. Dornan was in response to a
request she made through the Office of Congressional Affairs.
The Public Affairs Office was also made aware of the request.
