A ten--page report on the visit of the Norwegian Youth Leader Delegation to tht Soviet Union is available in the CIA Library. 2. The report covers an inspection of School No. 515, a model. school in Moscow of which the Soviet hosts were especially proud, but in which the Norwegian visitors could find nothing that was not common practice in their own country. 3. When the delegates inspected kindergart6rs in Moscow, Leningrad, and Yerevan, Armenia, they noted that the standards were somewhat lower than those in Norway, but that these institutions were "one of the good and encouraging" things to be seen in the Soviet Unions I, The delegate also describes a visit to a factory vocational school and to the apartment of an ardent Communists 5. The last part of the report is given over to a description of the ardent CommL f t s o youth leaders who were acting as guides and their reaction to statemen expressed intentionally by members of the delegation to test tern ideology W ' es sincerity of the guides. In general, Soviet beliefs were so ingrained that even after a demonstration of fact, falsehoods were still accepted as the truth.
