office for a study on "The USSR's East Asian Policy: The
Gorbachev Agenda." I want to congratulate you on the ex-
cellence of the analysis report your group produced.

I carried it with me to use in talks on Asian issues in Paris
with Soviet Deputy Foreign Minister Rogachev the following
