President Johnson, deeply .concerned over the fate of three missing Civil Rights workers, sent former CIA Director Allen W. Dulles to Mississippi today to 't.(infer on maintenance of law ..ind order in the state. - ,?? The presidential decision was ; announced last night after Mr.. Johnson. met with Atty. Gen,' _ ? ? ?.. ?-; Robert F. Kennedy and other of- ficials to discuss the search for ' the three young men, who vanished Sunday in rural east- emn Mississippi. AUTO IS FOUND The meeting .was called after the FBI reported the car in ? which they were last seen had been found futted by glames in , a s wamp near Philadelphia, Miss. . The missing men are Andrew, ; Goodman, 20, and M.i e* k e y ' Schwerner, 24, both. white and ' from New Yrok, and James : Chaney, 21, a Negro from Meri- dian, Miss. ? .? :,- They had gone to the area to ? ? work on "Project Mississippi" '?a summer drive to register , i. Negro voters. 1 The President met in his of- fice with the parents of two of ; them, Mt. and Mrs. Robert i Goodman and Mr. and Mrs. ; Nathan Schwerner. He talked with them for about 20 minutes, telling them of the FBI report on the burned-out auto. Mr. Johnson reaffirmed to the parents the Government's inten- tion to "spare no effort" to lo- cate the Young pen. ? ? - tAWhite House Press Secetary George E.
