benefits. However, remarried twice before reaching
age 55. Under Public Laws 99-569 and 100-178, if a former
spouse remarries before age 55, they are not eligible to
receive lifetime or survivor annuities.
We regret that we are unable to approve benefits for
and recognize the difficulty of her situation; however,
we are obliged to comply with the statutory limitations of
