SUBJECT: Intelligence Community Report to SSCI
I appreciate your sending me a copy of the June 15 preliminary
report to the SSCI. As you are aware, I received a letter from
Senators Bradley and Cranston expressing some concerns regarding
this study (Tab A). For your information, I am including a copy
of my response (Tab B) to Senator Bradley. An identical letter
was also sent to Senator Cranston. While their letter raised
several concerns, I am most sensitive to the issue of ensuring
that the report correctly reflects our national security
priorities. As I stated in my response, I believe that the
current study approach will support this objective. However, I
would solicit your special attention to ensure this issue is
properly addressed.
