Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2012/11/01: CIA-RDP78B05702A000100020130-3 4 March 1958 MEMORANDUM FOR: Project Operations ATTENTION: SUBJECT: Tracker Camera Mode 1. Recent discussion between HTA personnel and your office has indicated the need for reconsideration of a previous proposal. 2. It was suggested earlier that consideration be given to the possibility of incorporating a new firing mode into the Tracker camera operat-io.n. The new mode would permit the tracker to fire In synchronization with the main camera configuration during the time the main cameras are operating (with the B camera as the main configuration, the tracker would f'.re in synchro- n-i_zation with the vertical position..) 3. The obvious benefit is to produce a method of determining main camera attitude by comparison with synchronously fired tracker exposures, which image both horizons. Such attitude data is invaluable to HTA analysts, and, at present, cannot be determined by any other means. 4. Further discussion of this proposal with HTA can be made at any time by contacting this offs or the Technical Intelligence Branch, ARTHUR C. LUNDAHL Chief, Photo Intelligence Division, ORR ORR/D/GP,. 4 Mar 58 25X1 25X1 Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2012/11/01: CIA-RDP78B05702A000100020130-3
