Approved For Release 2008/03/03: CIA-RDP80B01676R001500080035-8 8 November 1966 Morning Meeting of 8 November 1966 DD/I mentioned that, in a conversation with Henry Kissinger asked that his appreciation and favorable impressions in re the courtesies extended to him by the Saigon station be conveyed to the Director. Godfrey noted the political situation in West Germany and opined that the Erhard government will get by the next vote of confidence. He briefed on the political situation in Haiti. outlined a COMOR paper on the collection of ELINT in the ABM field which he considered should be discussed by the principals at the USIB meeting Thursday next. DD/I saw no objection, and the DDCI directed that the item be placed on the USIB agenda. DD/S reported that the Agency achieved 114 percent of its goal for the Combined Federal Campaign and collected $12, 000 for the EAF and $13, 000 for PSAS. He announced that there will be an employee art exhibit on the first floor starting Monday. DD/S mentioned that the Agency has been able to utilize $2 million of declared excess Governmental property. He briefed on the results of a DD/S planning team survey in Saigon. Carver noted that there will be a meeting this afternoon of inter- agency personnel on the pacification criteria study in preparation for a meeting of principals tomorrow. Houston initiated a discussion on a problem of intelligence dis- semination to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy. Executive Director informed the group that a notice prepared last night establishes the procedure of sending the DDCI a courtesy copy of all papers sent to the Director for his signature. DDCI said that he will be attending the Chiefs of Station Confer- ence ut that the Director has asked him to limit the duration of his trip to one week and to include a stop in Saigon. At the suggestion of Kent, DDCI indicated that he will try to include CINCPAC in his itinerary.
