1984-1988
1. It is my understanding that you have been personally.
notified of your 1,84 terminal requirements that can he supported
from within our 1984 Base level. As specified on page 30 of the
1984 Sedget Call, you can budget separately for your requirements,
we cannot support in 1984. If you do budget separately for
terminals In 1984, you should include the maintenance cost of the
terminals in addition to the procurement cost. Furthermore, the
maintenance cost should be continued through 1988. The out-year
budgeting for maintenance!, will be transferred to the OOP Base
level at some point in the future.
2. Unfortunately, we do not anticipate any change in the
out-years in the funding we can provide from within our Base
level to support your terminal requirements. Therefore, your
out-year requirements should also reflect your procurement plans
for each year plus the mainte-lance costs for these terminals
through 1988. As an example, if you require 200 more terminals
each year than OOP can provide, you should budget to procure
these 200 tersainals each year plus the maintenance for the
terminals each year. In 1988 you would budget for the
maintenance for the one thousand terminals you would have
purchased through that time.
3. If you have any questions about your budgeting for
the out-years, please call puk on extension
After the 7 May budget submiesioas we will
be in contact with you to learn what was included in your budget
from 1984-1988 for terminals to be connected to our central
services. This information is necessary for us to budget for the
terminal controllers that will provide the terminals access to
our services.
