Named Vice President
Dr. Carroll V. Newsom
The Radio Corporation of
America announced here yes-
terday a change in the title
bf Dr. Carroll V. Newsom to
vice president 'in. charge of
education from educational
consultant.
Robert W. Samoff, presi-
dent of R.C.A., said Dr. New-
som would be responsible for
the development of the com-
pany's educational plans and
programs and would coordi-
nate its educational products
and services.
Dr. Newsom was president
, of New York University from
1956 to 1962. He was presi-
dent of Prentice-Hall, Inc., in
1964 and 1965 and, became
R.C.A.'s education consultant
later that year.
He was elected a director
of R.C.A. and its National
Broadcasting Company sub-
sidiary in 1961, and is also a
director of Random House,
Inc.
