Warren Reporli Study
The Historic Research Founda--
tion, an organization associated
with conservative causes, an-
nounced yesterday it was plan-
ning a $2,000 grant to study the
Warren Commission Report on
President Kennedy's assassina-
tion.
; . A foundation spokesman said
the idea for the study originated
with Wiliam F. Buckley Jr., edi-
tor of the National Review and
one of the foundation's trustees.
Buckley was quoted as saying the
evaluation of the report would be
made "for the sake of the public
:tranquility." ,? s ; ?

tile importer, who was a leading
member of the China lobby in the
U.S. after the expulsion of Chiang
Kai-shek from the Chinese main-
land.
The foundation's announcement
coincided With the publication of
a fourth book critical of the War-
ren Report, "The Second Oswald,"
by Prof. Richard H. Popkin, chair-
man' of the, philosophy depart-
