In order to have maximum exploitation of HTAUTOMAT material it is essential that specialized re,artification equip- ment be available. In some cases it is more feasible to utilize existing equipment rather than enter into an extensive R and D Program, whereas in other cases there is no alternative to the designing of new equipment. 2. The variety of types of cameras involved will necessitate procurement of three different types of equipment. The required instruments are listed below: a. 70 mm rectifier capable of rectification up to 60 degrees of tilt to be designed, approximate price $39,400. G "o b. Reed Research two stage rectifier, capable of correcting up to 75 degrees of tilt, for focal lengths up to 48 inches. Such an instrument has been produced and is in operation at ACIC in St. Louis. Apprcximte delivery price for 6 months $89,700. c. Rectifier for long focal 1 capable of correcting ength, up to 240 inches, up to 75 degrees of tilt. Estima ~' '~ price $89,000. It is requested that the funds be provided in that AQUATONE, as no funds were approved for such equipment by Proj for establishing the Photo Interpretation facilitiesthe budget 4.
