AMENDMENT TO WAGE ADJUSTMENT
1. PURPOSE: This amendment updates wage rate information on Wage
Schedule IV of Bureau Bulletin 77-8, the Correction to Bureau Bulletin
77-8, and Bureau Bulletin 77-13. On December 19, 1977, the Bureau
received notification that GPO had recomputed the journeyman Bookbinder
rate because of additional wage data. This has resulted in a 2 cents
per hour increase retroactive to June 18, 1977. TO maintain the Bureau's
pay relationship with GPO, the same 2 cents per hour increase is also
effected for Bureau journeyman Bookbinders retroactive to June 18, 1977.
Because rates for apprentice positions and supervisory positions over
bookbinders are based on the journeyman rate, these positions are also
affected. This amendment affects approximately 80 employees in job
classifications related to the Bookbinder craft whose rates are adjusted
from time to time as is consistent with rates prevailing in the U. S.
Government Printing Office.
