MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Communications
Chief, Management & Liaison Staff, OC
SUBJECT: Weekly Staff Notes, 22-26 October 1984
1. The D/CO was provided a recommended rank order list of
the 78 new positions allocated to OC in FY-85.
2. An initial $65.265K in PRA has been requested through
the DDA for FY-85.
3. Until the OC FY-85 allotment is received from the
Comptroller, no adjustments can be made to the FY-85 operating
budget. This is due to anticipated OMB cuts to the budget.
4. A blue plate on UHF and an update of the SKYLINK deploy-
ment map was provided to the Comptroller for inclusion in the
Agency's FY-86 Congressional submission.
S. New Communications Services FY 87-91: Memorandums
soliciting new requirements for costing for planning, program-
ming, and budgeting purposes were signed by the D/CO. Responses
are due back to OC 15 December. At that time we will turn over
the requirements to the cognizant OC Divisions for costing.
Responses as to whether OC will be able to accommodate these
requirements or costing information will be prepared in time
for other components to include the data in their respective
submissions to the Comptroller.

9. IMS/FSG has taken exception to two terms of the proposed
agreement on OC's assumption of responsibility for the Wang
