SIGNIFICANT ITEMS None B. OTHER ACTIVITIES DATE: 23 June 1959 1. Of 19 persons registered for our Americans Abroad Orientations this week, five failed to appear. We thus had nine for and five for Western Europe. We learn by the grapevine'that in several shops information about, and registration for, these courses is still not handled systematically, despite our frequent direct contacts with TO's and our liberal distribution of current schedules. The one-day briefing on Western Europe was handled oniMonday instead of Saturda in view of the small numbers enrolled and in order to utilize prior to his trip. are greatly encouraged by reactions of the class a to the revised content of the five half-day briefing and will report more fully on this next week. 2. A display chart of types of area courses, showing objectives and recommended se auences, is being prepared by VAS/ISB. Designed by this chart has been cleared with S01TR for use on the large bulletin board facing our 1800 Wing, which will be on the route of all LAS traffic when the new entrance to the area has been opened.
