1. led the discussion inl (monthly seminar
on Communist China last Thursday. The subject of that session
was the Sino-Soviet Bloc relationship. The session was a lively
and informative one.
2. (left on Tuesday for an extended trip to explore what
business and philanthropic institutions are doing about pre-
paring their people for overseas effectiveness.

Ii. ~ went tol on 17 June and gave written tests
to twenty-eight people in eight languages.
5. One hundred people reported for written proficiency tests
last week in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian,
Spanish and Swedish.
6. One hundred and thirteen Certifications for Language Award
certificates were sent to the Registrar last week.
